Hi members..

I've facing some problem to run sql plus. When I log on as Users (not as Administrator(s)) on my Windows XP, i can't run the sql plus tool which installed from oracle client installation. Then, i try to run it from command line, but it still doesn't work.
In my machine, the Oracle Home was set to d:\Oracle\ora92; which PATH variable containts :
- D:\oracle\ora92\bin
- C:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.3.1\bin
- C:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.1.8\bin

I haven't found this problem when i log on my machine as Administrators.
Is it something wrong with my machine setting or somthing else?

Regards..

What type of error are you getting?

What is the output of the following when you are logged in as a non-administrator:

C:\>path
C:\>echo %oracle_home%

but it still doesn't work.

Are you a developer?
If your customer comes up to you and he says "your application, it doesn't work", what's the first thing you ask?

etc..

C:>echo %oracle_home%
%oracle_home%

is there any privillege setting on windows XP to allow Users to run standard oracle tools?

Nope.
You'd ask him what exactly happens. What error message he gets, you ask him to define "doesn't work".
I wanted to show you that you have to be clear in your problem-report.

The "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000222)" error seems to be a general Windows error that mostly happens when the user hasn't got read/execute permissions on the needed *.exe and *.dll files.

Like this Google turned up.
