Sql*Plus Release 10.2.0.2
When i try to enter query in separate lines e.g
>select abc,def
>from ad
>where.......
The above statement works whereas if i give the same in a single line it gives SP2-0734: unknown command beginning
This is a long query about 300 characters.

Thanks

1/ The correct forum is SQL Client Tools and not SQL or PL/SQL this neither a SQL nor PL/SQL question, doesn't it?

2/ What does the documentation about SQL*Plus says?

3/ What is your OS? If it is Windows, do you use sqlplus.exe or sqlplusw.exe?

4/ Copy and paste your screen does not just explain what you see.

Michel
