Hello,

Can anyone recommend a farily active TOAD forum please?

I basically need help in writing a series of scripts that will extract sample data from about 150 Oracle tables and then copy/format the table data into an Excel spreadsheet, 1 spreadhseet per table.

I could do this manually of course, but it's very tedious and error prone and we may be changing instances at any time, so i'll have to do it all over again!

Or another thought is, maybe there is an Oracle utility that i can write that will do the same thing?

Thanks very much for any insights!

You can do this with just some native sql and sql*plus commands. But it ***depends*** on your level of comfort with the said utility.
Tom Kyte has some cool scripts that makes things much easier.
With a little tweak, you can get what you want.
