Hi folks,

expecting your urgent help on this

i have a single sql file comprises of 100 stored procedures and i tried to run the same in command prompt (linux box) on oracle 11.2.0.3.0.

while compiling i getting this error frequently.


SP2-0642: SQL*Plus internal error state 2501, context 3:0:0

am unable to find whether the stored procedure was compiled sucessfully, since some stored procedures showing <sp name > invalid identifier error

please advice what may be the reason for this error and how can i resolve it.

Add "set echo on" to your script then you will where the error happens.

but i want to know why this error occurs.

because i runned the same script in oracle 11.0.2.0 standard edition (linux box) on redhat 5.11 version

but i never face any error or issues.

can u help me to sort out why this happens,

And without knowing which code causes the error we can't possibly have any idea why it happens.
That's not a standard error you're getting - you're probably best off going to oracle support for help.

Unsafe to proceed
No errors.

this is what i actually got. this is a piece alone

Thanks michael the issue is this happens in customer site and we are unable to rerun the scripts

Any reason why you assume a substitution variable will lead to that error?
