Hi Gurus'

My Oracle DB is on Linux and clien machine is on windows.
Toad is installed on windows.

I am trying to connect the DB through TOAD on windows.

1. When i am trying to check the procedures i am not able to see the defination of the procedure.

2. When i am query to some table it is getting hanged .

Could you please guide me on the same. Why i am getting the problem.

It is really, Really, REALLY difficult to fix a problem that can not be seen.
use COPY & PASTE so we can see what you do & how Oracle responds.

Throw away TOAD and use SQL*Plus.

Could you post exact versions of ALL products involved? (MS Windows, Linux, Oracle, TOAD)

When exactly does Toad hang?

Have you tried Database > Spool SQL > To Screen to find the query that upsets your database?

check no other application running with toad. it can be due to memory low
