Dear all,

We had received one RAC few days, including 2 servers running Solaris Sparc, all of them was configured correctly, I had only changed and reconfigured IPs becaused of different from original location.

Suddenly, last night, a server gone to down when hardware failed, we just have received a new T4, and I did all jobs to rebuild a new server as preparing a new node.

And before to add node to cluster, I have got a question: Can I directly add node to the exists clusterware without removing death node information from Grid Infrastructure?

You should be able to add the new node and then remove the dead node in either order, it does not matter. The new node must of course have a new name and addresses.

The configuration looks a bit odd. Only one SCAN address, are you using /etc/hosts for name resolution instead of DNS? Is it really release 11.2.0.1? There are big changes from 11.2.0.2, changes for the better. Lastly, you will find that "crsctl status resource -t" and "crsctl status resource -t -init" give clearer information than the "crs_stat" command that I think you are running.

John Watson,
Exactly, we have got /etc/hosts name solution instead of DNS, it is really 11.2.0.1.

The best solution which I agreed to you, that is configuration as a new node, however, we have not enough network resource environment for IPs allocation.

Thank you, again.
